Ancient Egyptian Explorers
in Villa Torlonia
Sunday 8th May 2022
We started to dive into the world of the Ancient Egyptians through the observation of the obelisk and hieroglyphics at the entrance of Villa Torlonia. The children became ancient Egyptian explorers and used symbols, shapes and creativity to travel through time. It was the perfect workshop for elementary school children who learnt, or reinforced their knowledge, about one of the most interesting old civilisations during this hands-on event.

Signs and symbols
Quadraro area
Sunday 18th October 2020
The neighbourhood of Quadraro is home to a huge range of murals by artists from all over the world, like Malo Farfan, Veks Van Hillik and Lucamaleonte who, over the years, have turned the district into a colourful outdoor art gallery. On our open-air visit, the children looked at how these mural makers have been inspired by history, politics and pop culture to make connections with past and present, life and death, legend and reality. We searched for signs and symbols in the art on our way and we stopped to draw on site.
