ARTandSEEK Summer Events in Rome
from 26th to 30th June 2023

We are happy to offer 5 days of activities at the end of June!
Your child will focus on building and improving his/her language and artistic skills while learning about and practicing art, and while playing in the open air with a small group of peers.
Our native-speaker educators will engage the children in discussions and activities through gallery explorations, art activities and games.
Campers will explore works of art visiting 5 different museums and learning about new approaches and art techniques.
During the entire week the children will be invited to express their ideas and emotions in English.
They will also have some supervised free time for games in the open air.
The children will be asked to bring their personal art set consisting of:

Monday 26th June:
9:00 welcome and introductions at the Museo dell'Ara Pacis, Lungotevere in Augusta
9:30 to 11:00 visit the museum and learn about Ancient and Modern Rome .
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Workshop on signs and symbols including life drawing to analyse plants, flowers, patterns and textures .
13:00 Pick Up at the Museo dell'Ara Pacis
Tuesday 27th June:
9:00 welcome and introductions at Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia
9:30 to 11:00 visit the museum and learn about Etruscans , compare to Romans seen yesterday
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Workshop on symbols and patterns for decorative composition on 3D objects. Work in the museum garden and courtyard.
13:00 Pick up at the Museo Nazionale Etrusco
Wednesday 28th June:
9:00 welcome and introductions at La Galleria Nazionale, Viale delle Belle Arti 132
9:30 to 11:00 visit the museum and learn about pattern, composition and different genre (portrait, still life, landscape, abstract )
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Workshop on composition in the open air ( area of Villa Borghese )
13:00 Pick up at La Galleria Nazionale
Thursday 29th June:
9:00 welcome and introductions at Museo Andersen, Via Pasquale Stanislao Mancini, 20
9:30 to 11:00 visit the museum and learn about sculpture. What it means to craft in 3D and how to balance a sculptural composition.
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Workshop on 3d objects
13:00 Pick up
Friday 30th June:
9:00 welcome and introductions at the Museo Civico di Zoologia, Via Ulisse Aldrovandi, 18
9:30 to 11:00 visit the Museum and learn about animal behaviours and characteristics
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Workshop in the open air, what kind of animals we are (area of Villa Borghese )
13:00 Pick up at Museo di Zoologia
-One native speaker English teacher and one assistant (speaking also Italian) will be with the children at all times
-The language spoken during camp will be English.
- The group will be of maximum 12 children.
CONTRIBUTION:
40€ per day
180€ for the entire week
Includes ARTandSEEK annual membership, insurance, museum entrance, materials, snacks

Once you have registered, you will receive a reply email with the instructions to make a payment to ARTandSEEK by bank transfer in order to confirm your participation and some documents to sign.
Registrations will be closed with 12 kids maximum per day.
Parents will be obliged to sign a disclaimer of liability.

Daily events will be confirmed with a minimum number of 7 children

- set of coloured pencils
- set of markers
- an ARTandSEEK hat
- a badge with name and emergency telephone number
- drawing paper
- scissors
- glue
- any special materials linked to the art projects for each child.

TERMINI e CONDIZIONI in ITALIANO
Il nostro day camp, e' in inglese "full immersion". I vostri bambini saranno inseriti in un ambiente internazionale e stimolati a migliorare le proprie capacità linguistiche in inglese praticando attività artistiche.
Le educatrici madrelingua, esperte nell'insegnamento dell'arte ai bambini, li coinvolgeranno in discussioni ed attività nei musei e in laboratori artistici e giochi al parco.
Si parlerà sempre in inglese, ma i bambini italiani saranno aiutati in caso di necessita'.
I bambini visiteranno 5 diversi musei, e analizzeranno e discuteranno numerose opere d'arte di vari stili ed epoche, esprimendo le proprie idee ed opinioni in inglese. In piu' saranno impegnati in attività artistiche in loco o nel vicino parco di Villa Borghese.
Ogni dovrà essere dotato di un set personale di base che comprenda:
- matita HB
- gomma da cancellare
- pastelli colorati
- pennarelli colorati
ARTandSEEK provvederà a fornire ogni bambino di:
- un cappellino di ARTandSEEK
- cartellino di riconoscimento con nome e numero di telefono di emergenza
- carta da disegno
- materiali speciali legati al progetto specifico

9:30 to 11:00 visitiamo il museo e ci divertiamo imparando tutto sui Romani antichi e moderni.
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Laboratorio su segni e simboli, che include disegno dal vero di piante , fiori e decorazioni .
13:00 Arrivo genitori al Museo dell'Ara Pacis
Martedì 27 giugno
9:00 benvenuto e introduzione al Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia
9:30 to 11:00 visitiamo il museo e ci divertiamo imparando tutto sugli Etruschi e confrontandoli con i Romani visti ieri
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Laboratorio su simboli e motivi decorativi degli oggetti tridimensionali da svolgersi nel giardino e nel cortile del museo
13:00 Arrivo genitori al Museo Nazionale Etrusco
Mercoledì 28 giugno:
9:00 benvenuto e introduzione a La Galleria Nazionale, Viale delle Belle Arti 132
9:30 to 11:00 visitiamo il museo e ci divertiamo imparando tutto sulla composizione artistica nei diversi generi ( ritratto, natura morta, paesaggio, astrattismo )
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Laboratorio all'aria aperta sulla composizione artistica ( area di Villa Borghese )
13:00 Arrivo genitori a La Galleria Nazionale
Giovedì 29 giugno:
9:00 benvenuto e introduzione al Museo Andersen, Via Pasquale Stanislao Mancini, 20
9:30 to 11:00 visitiamo il museo e ci divertiamo imparando tutto sulla scultura, su cosa significa progettare in 3 dimensioni e su come bilanciare la composizione.
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Laboratorio su oggetti in 3D
13:00 Arrivo genitori al Museo Andersen
Venerdì 30 giugno:
9:00 benvenuto e introduzione al Museo Civico di Zoologia, Via Ulisse Aldrovandi, 18
9:30 to 11:00 visitiamo il museo e ci divertiamo imparando tutto sul comportamento e le caratteristiche degli animali
11:00 to 12:30 Snacks. Laboratorio all'aria aperta su "che animale sono?" (area di Villa Borghese )
13:00 Arrivo genitori al Museo di Zoologia
-Sarà costantemente presente un'insegnante madre-lingua inglese ed un'assistente che parla anche italiano
-La lingua usata durante il camp e’ l’inglese.
-Il gruppo sara' formato da un minimo di 7 ad un massimo di 12 bambini.
CONTRIBUTO:
40€ per singolo giorno
180€ per intera settimana

Chi si registra riceverà una email con le istruzioni per effettuare il pagamento tramite bonifico, affinché possa essere confermata la registrazione, e i documenti da firmare.

I genitori saranno obbligati a firmare una dichiarazione liberatoria di responsabilità.
